Documentation: Journal
Journal
The journal lists all your closed trades with the figures behind the dashboard.
Trade journal
The journal lists all your closed trades with filters and sorting.
It is built from the closed futures trades imported from every connected exchange. Open it from Journal in the menu. The table and the summary bar both follow the filters you set.
Filters
- Period. Use Today, Week, Month and Year, or pick a month or a year from the lists, to narrow the dates.
- Exchange, coin, side, result. Filter by exchange, by coin (the list holds only what you have traded), by side (Long or Short) or by result (Win or Loss).
- Clear filters resets everything. On a phone the extra filters fold away behind the arrow button.
- Filters stay in the address. The current filters are written into the page address, so you can bookmark a filtered view and a reload keeps it. Clicking a month in the monthly chart on the Dashboard opens the journal on that month.
Summary bar
Above the table: the number of trades, the net P&L, the fees paid and the win rate for the current filter. The totals always cover every matching trade, not only the page you are looking at.
Sorting and pages
Click a column header to sort and click again to reverse. The default is newest first. The table shows 100 trades per page; when there are more, arrows and page numbers appear under it.
Click a row to open the trade. What each column and the trade detail show is described in Columns and trade detail.
Columns and trade detail
Each row is one closed position: when it closed, the pair, the side, the result before and after fees, and how long it lasted.
- Date and Time — when the position closed.
- Pair — the contract, for example BTCUSDT.
- Side — Long or Short.
- Gross P&L — the result of the position before fees.
- Fee — the trading fees paid on the position.
- Net P&L — the gross P&L after fees. Gains carry a plus sign and are green, losses are red.
- Duration — the time from open to close.
Click a row to see the Open and Close times, Duration, Side, Gross P&L, Fee and Net P&L of that trade in one place.
A trade that has just closed can show an approximate duration, estimated from when the order was created. For the exact open time, especially for long positions or averaged-down ones, press Sync all trades on your exchange card in Config.
Tags, notes and screenshots
Tag and comment your trades, with screenshots, to see which setups actually make money.
If you commented on a position while it was still open, the same tags, note and screenshots show up on that trade once it closes — nothing to redo. See Notes on an open position.
You can also add or edit a tag or note on any closed trade directly: click a row to open its detail, write in the Tags and Notes fields, and press Save. Screenshots can be added the same way — pick a file or paste one from your clipboard while the detail is open.
Filtering and reviewing by tag
Once you've tagged a few trades, a tag filter appears next to the others, and a By tag table shows the number of trades, win rate and net P&L for each tag you've used — a quick way to see which setups actually make money and which don't.
Reviewing your trades
Once a month, ask the same few questions of the filtered numbers and change one thing at a time.
Questions the journal can answer:
- Is your profit concentrated in one or two coins while others quietly lose? Filter by coin and compare the summary bar.
- Do longs and shorts perform the same? Filter by side.
- Is your win rate fine while your losses are larger than your wins? Compare the Win and Loss filters; the summary bar shows the net P&L of each group.
- How much do fees take? Compare gross and net P&L for the same filter.
- Does one exchange do better than another? Filter by exchange.
- Did a bad stretch cost more than you planned for? The Dashboard shows the drawdown and the P&L calendar.
The journal records what happened; it does not tell you what to do next. Change one thing, then check whether the next month moves.

Crypto trading journal
A journal you have to fill in by hand tends to be abandoned after a few weeks. BitMe imports your closed futures trades straight from your exchanges, so the numbers are complete and you spend your time reviewing them instead of typing.
Multi-exchange position tracker
Trading on more than one exchange usually means several apps, several tabs and no single answer to “how much am I exposed, and how am I doing?”. BitMe connects Binance, Bybit, OKX and BloFin through read-only API keys and brings positions, equity, balances and results into one account.
Bybit position monitor
BitMe connects to your Bybit account with a read-only API key and watches your open futures positions around the clock, so a sharp move, a missing stop-loss or a shrinking margin buffer reaches you on Telegram even when you are away from the screen.
