Liquidation risk and stop-loss alerts on Telegram

The classic futures mistakes are quiet ones: a position opened without a stop-loss, a leveraged loss that keeps growing while you are away, a margin buffer that shrinks unnoticed. BitMe watches for exactly these and messages you on Telegram before they turn into a liquidation.

The alerts that matter for risk

  • Missing stop-loss or take-profit — fires when an open position has none, and repeats at the interval you set until you fix it. On OKX and BloFin it also warns when the stop-loss covers only part of the position.
  • Loss threshold — an alert when the loss on a position, measured against the margin you put in, passes your limit, then again each time it deepens by the step you choose.
  • Liquidation risk — an alert when the share of margin in use crosses a threshold you set.
  • Profit threshold — the same logic for gains, so you can decide to take profit or move a stop.
  • Limit order proximity — an alert when price approaches one of your limit orders.

Tune them so they help instead of annoy

Every alert type has its own switch, threshold, step and repeat interval. A tight loss threshold on a low-leverage position produces noise; a loose one on a highly leveraged position comes too late. Start with the defaults, watch a few days of messages and adjust. Repeat intervals stop the same alert from flooding your chat while still nagging you about a position that still has no stop-loss.

What alerts cannot do

Alerts inform you — they do not close positions for you. Keep a stop-loss on the exchange itself; BitMe is a second pair of eyes, not a replacement for risk management. Delays can happen when an exchange API is slow or unavailable, and BitMe tells you when its own connection keeps failing.

Setting it up

Connect a read-only key, start the BitMe alerts bot on Telegram, enter your chat ID and pick thresholds. Step by step for Bybit, OKX and BloFin.

Common questions

Do the alerts work while I sleep?

Yes. The monitor runs on the server around the clock and does not depend on your browser or phone being open. Telegram delivers the messages to your phone as usual.

Can I turn off alerts I do not need?

Yes. Alerts are grouped into P&L, missing stop-loss and take-profit, liquidation risk, limit orders and API connection errors, each with its own switch.

Which exchanges are supported?

Bybit, OKX and BloFin.
